Bleach returned with the Thousand-Year Blood War arc adaptation, and the merchandise market responded immediately. After years of relative dormancy following the original anime's end, Bleach figures and collectibles are back in active production — and new releases are appearing regularly. Here's the state of Bleach collecting in 2025.
Why Now Is a Great Time to Collect Bleach
The Thousand-Year Blood War arc gave manufacturers the licence to produce figures from storylines previously only available in the manga. Yhwach, Sternritter characters, and the post-Royal Guard Ichigo designs are all appearing in figure form for the first time. For long-term Bleach fans who've waited a decade for this arc to be animated, it's a collecting moment worth taking seriously.
Essential Characters
Ichigo Kurosaki
The protagonist in his many forms drives the Bleach figure market. The most collected versions:
- Bankai Ichigo — the Tensa Zangetsu form from the original series remains one of the most iconic Soul Reaper designs in anime
- Vasto Lorde — the hollow transformation from the Ulquiorra fight, stark white against black hollow design
- Final Getsuga Tensho (Mugetsu) — the long black hair, haori shredded, this form is visually dramatic and increasingly represented in the figure market
- TYBW Ichigo — the new Soul Reaper/Quincy hybrid form from the Thousand-Year Blood War arc
Rukia Kuchiki
The second most collected Bleach character, with strong figures across the full series timeline. Her Sode no Shirayuki (white sword, ice technique) produces elegant figure compositions. TYBW arc Rukia in Bankai is one of the most dramatic Bleach figures currently in production.
Byakuya Kuchiki
The stoic, aristocratic captain whose Senbonzakura technique (thousand cherry blossom petals) produces some of the most visually spectacular figure designs in all of Bleach. Byakuya figures featuring the petal effect are collector favourites.
Renji Abarai, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Yoruichi Shihoin
All three have dedicated collector bases and strong figure representations. Hitsugaya in Bankai (ice wings extended) is particularly popular — visually one of the most impressive Bleach designs at a figure scale.
Arrancar and Villain Characters
Ulquiorra Cifer (Espada No. 4) is among the most collected Bleach villain figures — his reserved, melancholy design suits the figure format. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in his released form is the other major Arrancar collectible. For TYBW arc: Yhwach figures are beginning to appear and will likely become significant collector items as the arc's animation progresses.
Building a Bleach Display
Bleach's visual palette — black Soul Reaper robes, white Hollow/Arrancar design, the contrast between the two — makes for striking displays. A recommended configuration:
- Ichigo in Bankai or final form as centrepiece
- Rukia or Byakuya as secondary figure
- A Bleach poster featuring the Soul Society or TYBW arc key art as backdrop
The black-and-white contrast of Bleach design works exceptionally well with white LED shelf lighting or a neutral backlit display case.
